Tessa Van Oene: BSc. PT

TessaI grew up in Tilley Alberta and decided in high school that I wanted to become a physical therapist. I did my training at the University of Alberta and relocated to Red Deer upon graduation.

I've been in the Red Deer area for almost 15 years and am very happy to call it home. As well as working as a clinician I also teach fitness classes, yoga and practice energy medicine.

In my spare time I attempt to keep up with my co workers in their running and triathlon endeavors and typically live vicariously through their accomplishments.

Kevin Mangan: BSc. PT

KevinI was born in Red Deer but have lived in Fairview, Fort McMurray, St. Albert, Edmonton, Medicine Hat, and Kingston Ontario (briefly – but definitely an Alberta boy). I completed my Bachelor of Physical Education from the University of Alberta in 1998 and completed my Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta in 2002.I have always been very active in sport, competiting heavily in Karate and baseball but now enjoy a vaiety of sports and the outdoors.

I have a lovely wife and 2 young children that we try to expose to all kinds of physical activity - camping, hiking, hunting, running, biking, swimming, downhill skiing, cross county skiing, kettlebells, yoga, hockey.. my little guy even seems to like soccer- I'm hoping that doesn't last.

Craig Schmitt: BSc. PT

CraigI was born in Burstall, Saskatchewan, and eventually moved on to the metropolis of Carbon, Alberta, where my parents still reside. Upon leaving home I embarked on an eight (glorious) year journey of schooling at Mount Royal College, the University of Calgary (where I obtained my Bachelor of Kinesiology degree), and finally the University of Alberta (where I got another degree for my Bachelors of Science in Physical Therapy). Even better than my schooling experience was meeting my wife, Nicole, who I have been married to for over 10 years. We have now been in Red Deer since 2006, and have fallen in love with the city for so many reasons.

Physiotherapy has given me the opportunity to help people return to a part of their life that they had not been experiencing to the fullest. In the medical field it is the desire of the professional to assist others in reaching their highest potential, and we here at Weber Physiotherapy get to experience it every day. It's amazing to see how lives have been changed every day, and it's a privilege to be a part of it. Apart from work my passions include our four amazing children, life at CrossRoads Church, and everything triathlon. In fact, if you only have a few seconds to talk to me you'd better not bring up triathlon, because it's likely the conversation will last longer than you'd like!
