Kettlebell Classes
What are Kettlebells anyway?
A Kettlebell is a weight consisting of a cast iron ball with a single handle for gripping the weight during exercise. Kettlebells were developed by the Russian military and have become a popular exercise tool. Used for endurance, strength and overall conditioning, Kettlebell workouts are one of the most powerful full body workouts and the ultimate tool for overall fitness.
The use of Kettlebells makes for a unique exercise program. This mode of exercise incorporates both an intense cardiovascular workout with a whole body strengthening program. Kettlebells are not a high impact exercise and can be performed in a very small space.
Weber Physiotherapy has been been offering Kettlebell classes for approximately six years. All types of people in our population get involved with Kettlebell training. We have classes for:
- those who are trying to “enter” into a fitness routine
- runners/triathletes who want cross-training in their program
- hockey/soccer/lacrosse athletes who need strengthening
- martial arts athletes
- parents who want to stay fit while having a break from their busy family obligations
