Electrotherapy Modalities

These help to increase circulation and reduce any swelling or inflammation occurring at the injury site

Myofascial Release

The "hands on" part of the treatment. This is a manual therapy technique that breaks down any scar tissue remaining in the muscles, tendons, or ligaments, as well decreases tension. This technique "frees up" the structures surrounding the injury in order to provide better stabilization and support.

Joint Mobilization

Mobilization on a joint increases localized movement which results in full functional movement.

Acupuncture

All of the therapists at the clinic are trained in medical acupuncture. This is used to address healing in the affect structures and apply intramuscular stimulation "IMS". IMS is used to lesson to the tension in the muscles in order to allow the muscle to contract for strength and stability.

Recommendations to Activities of Daily Living (ADL)

ADL recommendations include; exercise prescription to help strength and regain range of motion in the affected area, suggested activities to help rehabilitate the area, referrals to nutritionists and other health care professionals if needed.
